For Grade 7 French Immersion Students
Students in our French Immersion program have been learning French throughout all or most of their elementary years. As such, we believe that a trip to Québec would be an appropriate and meaningful way to culminate this phase of their schooling journey.
The focus of this trip would be to provide students with first-hand experiences of the French language, culture, and history of Québec. We view this as an experiential learning opportunity with the following primary objectives:
To help students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the French language, culture, and history.
To provide opportunities for students to practice and further develop their French language skills, allowing them to recognize both how much they have learned and how much more they can continue to grow.
To support the development of social relationships, teamwork, and leadership skills.
A survey will be sent out in May or June to gauge interest in participating in this opportunity during the following school year.
